人類歷史的悲劇不會自動消失，相反地要不斷去面對與提醒。 美國的黑人苦難歷史，在黑人的努力與覺醒下不斷靠著小說、歌曲、戲劇、電影去呈現與詮釋。 包括Strange Fruit的錄音與歷史已被美國國會收藏為永久記錄。 黑人唱出被害的歷史，絕不會有白人出來靠北靠木說『操弄族群』，『向前看，過去不要再提了』。 太多的事我們台灣人還做得不夠，特別是對歷史(如二二八與白色恐怖)的認識與省思。
